The South Korean giant – Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) tablet in India which will come with a metal body and dual speakers. The tablet was announced last month in the country and has been launched now for Rs.9,999 for the Wi-Fi variant while the LTE variant can be grabbed for Rs. 11,999. Both these options will be available in Black and Grey colors and as of now, the Wi-Fi variant is listed for pre-orders via Flipkart and Samsung Shop.

Furthermore, the LTE variant will be available across selected offline and online channels by the end of this month and Samsung is also offering a free 2-months trial of YouTube Premium with the tablet. Talking about its specs, the device will be coming with an 8-inch WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) TFT display. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 429 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM along with 32GB of onboard storage that can be extended via microSD card slot up to 512GB.

Out of the box, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 will be coming with Android 9.0 Pie operating system and might be getting further updates when available. For cameras, there is an 8MP camera sensor on the rear and on the front, there is a 2MP sensor. The connectivity options includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1 and USB 2.0. The LTE model also supports 4G LTE connectivity along with all the options found on the Wi-Fi-only model.

The device comes with a dual speaker for stereophonic audio experience and also come with pre-loaded with a Kids Home mode which is claimed wot offer a child-friendly interface. The latest tablet also comes with Samsung’s Family Share feature which allows easy charing of schedules, notes, photos, and reminders. It comes with Lego game content and few apps like Crocro Adventure, My Art Studio and more.

The tablet also has Parental Control features that let them set time limits for children to use and also monitor kid’s screen time and check what they access. The handset measures 210 mm x124.4 mm x 8 mm and weighs 347 grams. There is a 5100mAh battery on the device to power it.
