Vivo iQOO Pro 5G teased to launch on August 22 in China

Back in March this year, Chinese manufacturer Vivo has launched its first sub-brand’s gaming smartphone — the Vivo iQOO in China, which featured the latest flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM. And, now like any other gaming smartphone launched this year, for instance, Xiaomi’s Black Shark 2 and the recently launched Black Shark 2 Pro, Vivo is also set to launch its Vivo iQOO Pro gaming smartphone this month.
Vivo iQOO has teased its new Vivo iQOO Pro gaming smartphone that is said to be 5G enabled and will be launching on August 22, which is a couple of weeks away. After the recent launch of Black Shark 2 Pro and Asus ROG Phone II, Vivo is expected to launch the iQOO Pro 5G gaming smartphone with the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor as well. As the variant launched in March already featured the flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC, it is evident that the iQOO Pro will be featuring the Snapdragon 855+ SoC, under the hood.
The Snapdragon 855+ would be paired with Sandaprgon X50 modem as well to make the Vivo iQOO 5G-enabled gaming smartphone. The rumored specifications of the upcoming Vivo iQOO Pro 5G gaming phone include — triple rear cameras on the back, 8/12GB of RAM, 128GB of onboard storage and a decent 4500mAh battery, which will supposedly feature 44W Vivo’s Fast Charge support as well.
Since the launch of the new iQOO Pro 5G phone is teased by Vivo recently, we can expect more specs released by the company eventually in the coming week. And, also it is still unclear on whether the new Vivo iQOO Pro 5G gaming smartphone would also be featuring either 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate displays, similar to the competition out there.
