Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is the next big thing in the world of rumors. Ever since the launch of the regular variants, the Active variant of the flagship Galaxy S8 is what a bunch of people are waiting for. The regular Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus as well know if very fragile and is susceptible to breaking, scratching, etc. The S8 Active, on the other hand, is expected to solve that problem for obvious reasons. And this is certainly not the first time that we are hearing about this smartphone after all.
Previously we had reported about the existence of the smartphone and now the latest report which we have happens to confirm the same. The Galaxy S8 Active moniker has been spotted on the company’s official website. It has been referenced in a document which happens to tell us the list of applications that it will ship with, out of the box. You can take a look at the list of applications down below in screenshot of the same.
While the above-given listing doesn’t really talk much about the device by itself since we don’t see any specs, etc. however, it does confirm that the smartphone is at least ready to be unveiled. As far as the details of the smartphone are concerned, it is expected to rock a flat screen on the front, without any curves or edges to side. This is expected to be much more durable than the regular Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus variants. In fact, it has been reported that they will be compliant with the MIL-STD-810G standard of durability.
In terms of the specs, we are looking at a 5.8-inch AMOLED display on the front which is expected to have the same QHD resolution. It is expected to be powered by the Exynos 8895 SoC along with 4GB of RAM. It is also expected to sport a slightly larger battery inside just like all the previous Active variants have had. With that said, it is expected to be an AT&T exclusive in the U.S and it is expected to be available starting this month itself. Stay tuned for more info on the launch and the availability of the same.
