Samsung Galaxy J8 Receiving Android 9 Pie Update in India

Last week we have seen Samsung Galaxy J6 receiving Android 9 Pie update in India and now its sibling Galaxy J8 has also started receiving the latest update in the country. The Global rollout of Android Pie started earlier this month for the Galaxy J8 and now users in India have started receiving it. The size of the update is 1196MB which also bring Android Security patch for the month of April.

The version of the update is J810GDDU2BSD5/J810GODM2BSD5/J810GDDU2BSC6 that brings Samsung new One UI experience to its users and since the update is rolling out via OTA it might take some time to reach your device. You can always update your device manually also from the Software update section from the settings of the handset you find the download file, it needs to be downloaded and then install it.

Earlier today, we also had news about Samsung Galaxy M30 getting a new update which both many fixes along with April Android security patch. The Galaxy J8 smartphone was launched in India last year which runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with Samsung Experience UX on top. The device comes with 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered with a 3,500mAh battery on the rear.

Under the hood, the handset is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Octa-Core chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. There is onboard storage go 64GB on the device which can be extended further up to a maximum of 256GB via microSD card slot. There is a 16MP main camera sensor on the rear along with a secondary 5MP camera while for selfies Samsung has included a 16MP sensor.

The device supports face unlocking and also has a selfie flash. Furthermore, it comes with many other connectivity options like Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, Micro-USB port 4G VoLTE, WiFi and other sensors which are required for the automation of the handset.
