OnePlus 5T Gets OxygenOS 9.0.5 Update along with April Security Patch

OnePlus is rolling out new OxygenOS 9.0.5 update for its OnePlus 5T smartphone. Recently we have seen the OxygenOS 9.4 update was also rolled out for both the OnePlus 5 and 5T devices which bought deep integration with Google Duo. With the latest update, the OnePlus 5T is also receiving the Android Security patch for the month of April with the size of the update weighing 200MB in size.

The update also brings overall improvements and stability to the phone app and also fixes issues related to the Parallel Apps and Gaming modes. The Android security patch level has taken a stride from January 1, 2019, to April 2019 directly fixing many minor bugs. As of now, there is no information on the update rolling out to the OnePlus 5 smartphone but we can expect it to be rolled out soon with similar changelog.

The changelog includes fixes to the parallel apps showing primary account along with the issues in downloading pictures in parallel WhatsApp and fix to the third part app video call issues. The device comes with 6.01-inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It is powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset with eight cores coupled with Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB or 8GB RAM options. There is a fingerprint sensor on the handset to enhance the security levels.

The device came out of the box with Android 8.1.1 Nougat operating system and later got an update to Android 9 Pie also. There is a 16MP main camera sensor on the rear along with 20MP wide angle sensor and on the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera. The onboard storage is 128GB which cannot be extended further.
