Samsung Galaxy J7 specifications revealed by a Kazakh retailer, to be priced around $270

Samsung’s J series has been quite a confusion, with one device, the Galaxy J coming in with high-end specs (though taking it in the J series could be wrong), while the other one, J1 having entry-level specifications. The next device, Galaxy J7 has been in the talks since quite some time after being leaked for a couple of times, and now the specs are almost confirmed after a retailer in Kazakhstan listing the phone on the website.

There’s not just one in this series, that is coming soon. Another device, the Galaxy J5 too will be unveiled any time soon. Not just the specs, but even the pricing is now known, and we know how much to expect if Samsung decides to bring this to the International market. As far as specs are concerned, the Galaxy J7 has a 5.5-inch display, with a 720p resolution and that’d be a TFT LCD display.

This mid-range device has a Marvell processor under the hood, the PXA1936 octa-core chipset that clocks at 1.2 – 1.4 GHz. There’s 1.5GB of RAM and a 16GB internal storage, along with a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. A front 5MP snapper and a rear 13MP camera completes the camera combination, and the rear camera is assisted by an LED flashlight.

The device is said to be running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS, and interestingly, will have a TouchWiz UI that is a mix of the current flagship Galaxy S6, and the mid-range devices from the company. The shipping is expected to start from August, but we know almost everything, even the price which is 49,990 ₸, that rounds to about US $270.
