Back in May, Samsung has four new smartphones with Infinity displays in India including Galaxy J6, J8, A6, and A6+ smartphones. Now, the company is said to be working on a high-end variant of the Galaxy J6 called Galaxy J6+. Since the company has launched the same Galaxy J6 as Galaxy On6 in India, the upcoming Galaxy J6+ might also come as Galaxy On6+. The Galaxy J6+ or the Galaxy On6+ will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor.
The earlier launched Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8 smartphones are powered by Exynos 7870 & Snapdragon 450 processors respectively. There are also chances that the company might even scrap the device. In India, the company recently announced a price cut on the 4GB RAM variant of Galaxy J6 smartphone. Compared to the smartphones from Chinese brands, the budget Galaxy smartphones always look overpriced.
While the Snapdragon 450-powered Galaxy J8 seems to be an unlikely choice for budget users in price-sensitive markets like India, the Galaxy J6 with same Snapdragon 450 chipset might not make any difference. Talking about the upcoming Galaxy J6+ / Galaxy On6+, it is mentioned to come with a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with HD+ resolution. Though it offers the same screen size as Galaxy J6, it sports a larger 4,350mAh battery.
We can also spot improvements in the camera department, the device comes with dual rear cameras and single front camera. Both the cameras come accompanied by an LED flash. We expect to see the same camera sensors as seen on the Galaxy J8. The device is also mentioned to sport a dedicated TFA9896 audio chip. Though it comes with a fingerprint sensor, the device will also likely support face unlock.
Since it is mentioned to support NFC, the device might feature Samsung Pay option. As there is no official confirmation from the company, take these details with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
