Huawei Nova 3i to Launch with 12nm Kirin 710 SoC & Quad Cameras

Earlier today, Huawei has officially unveiled the Nova 3 smartphone powered by flagship Kirin 970 processor. It is also the world’s first smartphone to come with the notch display & quad cameras. The company will be revealing the pricing of the Nova 3 smartphone on July 18th in China. Now a new Nova smartphone called Nova 3i is leaked online. Earlier this year, the company also launched the Nova 3e smartphone in China, it is the same Huawei P20 Lite which is sold in the international markets.
Talking about the Nova 3i, it looks exactly similar to the Nova 3. The device comes with glass sandwich design with metal frame in the middle. Unlike the Nova 3, the Nova 3i comes with 2.5D glass on the front and rear. It will be with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) notch display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The Nova 3i will be the first smartphone to come powered by the all-new Kirin 710 octa-core processor built on a 12nm FinFET process.
Compared to the Kirin 659 SoC. the Kirin 710 SoC offers 2x better CPU performance and 2.29x better GPU performance. Apart from the change in processor, we expect the Nova 3 and Nova 3i to share the same specifications. The Nova 3 comes with a 24MP + 16MP dual rear cameras and 24MP + 2MP dual front cameras. The Kirin 710-powered Nova 3i also supports the new GPU Turbo technology from Huawei. It should be coming with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.
The device will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.1 out of the box. Though the Nova 3 and Nova 3i comes with same screen size, the Nova 3i sports slightly smaller 3,340mAh battery and supports only up to 5V/2A (10W) power input.
