Samsung Galaxy C7 (2017) Powered By MediaTek Helio P20 SoC Spotted At Geekbench

A couple of days back, we had reported about the Galaxy C7 (2017) smartphone, which appears to be the next device which Samsung seems to be readying. Previously reported news, however, didn’t really give out much about the smartphone other than a few key specs since it was just Wi-Fi certification. But now, we have spotted the device yet again and this time we do have quite a bit to talk about it.
According to the latest report which we have, the smartphone has been spotted on Geekbench website and it gives out a fair bit of info about the smartphone. Talking about the specs, the smartphone is listed to be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. Underneath the hood, we are looking at a MediaTek Helio P20 SoC powering it. Now, this is quite strange since the last the last time we spotted it, it was said to be running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC.
So, as of now, it remains unclear as to what Samsung is planning to do here. Other than that, the listing also tells us that the smartphone will be coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. This is again quite confusing since the previous report had pointed towards the possibility of 4GB RAM under the hood. In terms of the camera, we are looking at a dual camera setup, where it is likely to sport 13MP + 5MP dual-lens rear camera.
For the selfies, it is alleged that there will be a 16MP front-facing shooter, however, this is also something that remains to be seen. Talking about the display, the listing tells us that it will have a 5.5″ FHD display on the front. Having said that, we have no official confirmation on any of this and all these are just being speculated based on the benchmark listings. But if you are interested in this smartphone, then you have to wait till it gets officially launched.
Speaking of official launches, the company is currently getting ready to launch the Galaxy Note 8 and we hope they will come back strong with the Note series after the aftermath of Galaxy Note 7. However, the recent news also tells us that over 10,000 Galaxy Note 4’s are being recalled. So, at this point, we can only hope that everything works out well.
