Samsung had launched the Galaxy C7 smartphone last year just around the same time, which means that the smartphone is due for an upgrade. There have been multiple reports about the Galaxy C7 2017 smartphone in the past and the new report pretty much confirms the existence of the smartphone. Yes, the new Galaxy C7 2017 smartphone was spotted at the Wi-Fi Alliance as it received its Wi-Fi certification.

The new Galaxy C7 2017 smartphone carrying the model number SM-C7100 has been spotted at the Wi-Fi Alliance. The smartphone just received its Wi-Fi certification and this is coming only after a couple of weeks after the device got its Bluetooth certification. All this pretty much confirms the existence of the smartphone and it looks like we are closing in, on the launch of the device. The Wi-Fi listing, just like the Bluetooth certification, does not reveal much about the smartphone.

The only thing which we know so far about the device is the fact that it will be running Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. However, it is expected that the Galaxy C7 2017 will also be a mid-ranger since the least year’s variant was a highly popular mid-ranged smartphone. Speaking of the last year’s C7 smartphone, it was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC which was coupled with 4GB of RAM. It was also offered in two variants to choose from i.e. a 32GB variant and a 64GB variant.

The Galaxy C7 also has a 5.7-inch SuperAMOLED display which was comparatively better than other smartphones in this price range. In terms of the camera, the Galaxy C7 had a 16-megapixel rear-facing shooter, whereas, on the front, it had an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie snapper. Looking at all this, the Galaxy C7 2017 is also expected to be slightly better, if not significantly better.

Coming to the launch and the availability, as mentioned earlier, the Galaxy C7 2017 should be launched very soon since it has been spotted multiple times now. In terms of the availability, we should be seeing the initially in markets like China, etc. However, it is highly expected that the company will launch it in other markets across the globe. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar to know more about the smartphone in detail and also let us know if you be interested in picking it up if it launches in India.
