Last month, Samsung has officially launched the new Galaxy A70 smartphone in the Indian market for Rs 28,990. While the company started taking pre-orders from April 20th, the Galaxy A70 is now available for sale through Flipkart, Samsung e-Shop, and all retail stores across the country. The device comes in Black, Blue and White color options. It sports 3D curved polycarbonate body with a gradient finish. It comes with a 6.7-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 20: 9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood is the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform built on 11nm FinFET node. It comes coupled with Kryo 460 CPU and Adreno 612 GPU. This is the same chipset that also powers the Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone priced at Rs 13,999. The Galaxy A70 comes only in 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of internal storage. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with the new One UI laid on top.
Talking about the cameras, the Galaxy A70 sports triple camera setup featuring 32MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, it also comes with a single 32MP camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 4,5000mAh non-removable battery that also supports 25W super fast charging technology. Even the new Galaxy S10 flagship smartphones came with only 18W fast charging support.
As seen on the Galaxy A50 smartphone, the new Galaxy A70 also sports an in-display fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge.
