Samsung recently Unveiled the Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A80 smartphones. Today, Samsung China launched a total of four Galaxy A smartphones – Samsung Galaxy A80, Galaxy A70, Galaxy A60, and Galaxy A40s. While we already complete details about the Galaxy A80 and Galaxy A70, we are seeing the Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A40s for the very first time. The Galaxy A60 looks same as the Galaxy A8s launched last year in China, but comes with better internals. On the other hand, the Galaxy A40s is exactly the same Galaxy M30 which is available in India. We don’t think the company will be introducing the Galaxy M lineup in China.
In India, Samsung is selling its budget smartphones under the Galaxy A and Galaxy M series. Talking about the Galaxy A40s, it comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the 14nm Exynos 7904 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G71 GPU. It sports triple camera setup on the rear featuring a 13MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP depth camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it sports a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
It is backed by a whopping 5,000mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging using the USB type-C port. Coming to the Galaxy A60, it comes with a 6.3-inch punch-hole display with Full HD+ resolution and offer 91.8% screen-to-body ratio. Compared to the Galaxy A8s, the diameter of the hole on the Galaxy A60 is relatively small. While the Honor View 20 has a 4.8mm diameter hole, the hole on the Galaxy A60’s Infinity-O display measures just 4.69mm in diameter. Under the hood, it comes powered by the 11nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 460 CPU and Adreno 612 GPU.
It comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The upgrades can also be seen in the camera department. The triple camera setup on the newly launched Galaxy A60 uses 32MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Even the Galaxy A70 also comes with the same rear camera setup. While the Galaxy A80 and Galaxy A70 come with in-display fingerprint scanners, the new Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A40s sports rear-facing fingerprint scanners. The company is yet to reveal the pricing or the availability of the devices.
The company hasn’t revealed the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy A80 smartphone. The Galaxy A70 with 6GB and 8GB of RAM will be costing CNY 2499 and CNY 2799 respectively. Coming to the newly launched devices, the Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A40s are priced at CNY 1999 and CNY 1499 respectively. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
