The South Korean Giant is pushing a new update to its Galaxy A50 smartphone in India which brings Android security patch for the month of August. Since the device has been launched it is being regularly updated to improve and enhance the performance of the smartphone. The size of the update is 320MB and will come with the firmware version A505FDDU2ASH3. The update is being rolled out via OTA update so it might take some time to hit your device depending on the region you are in.
According to a publication, the update brings enhancements to the fingerprint scanner and also bring Android security patch for the month of August 2019. It will also improve battery charging algorithm and stability, Improved device security, and also general performance improvements along with general bug fixes. Furthermore, the update is said to be installing the Snapchat application on to the device. If you have not received the update, go to the setting of the device and head to the system updates section to download and install the update manually.
To remind you, the Galaxy A50 was launched with the 6.4-inch FHD+ display with an infinity-U notch that houses the selfie camera giving a high screen-to-body ratio of 91.6 percent. To power the handset there is 4,000mAh battery which will be supporting 15W fast charging via Type-C port. Under the hood, there is an Octa-core Exynos 9610 chipset coupled with 4GB / 6GB of RAM.
For cameras, there is a triple camera setup on the rear that includes a 25MP main camera along with an auto-focus f/1.7 lens. There is a secondary 5MP sensor with fixed f/2.2 lens and an 8MP camera with a fixed focus of f/2.2 lens. For selfie, we can find a 25MP camera that comes with Ai facial unlocking system.
