Early last month, Realme has launched its Realme 3 smartphone catered to budget-midrange phone segment. Being a budget smartphone, it came with noticeable features like Nightscape camera mode, Game Space, gestures and more. The Realme 3 had done good in terms of sales within the month as well. More than 2.1 lakh units were sold within a week or so after the launch. During the launch event, the CEO of the company Madhav Seth had confirmed the Pro version of the Realme 3 coming this April. And, as promised the company had today unveiled the Realme 3 Pro smartphone for the Indian market.
While the Realme 3 was launched on the likes of the company’s rival’ latest smartphone – the Redmi Note 7, the Realme 3 Pro comes similarly in competition with the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Both the phones share identical specifications, needless to say, and there are noticeable differences as well.
The new Realme 3 Pro smartphone features a design quite identical to the Realme 3, which launched earlier. The Realme 3 Pro features a 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS display that comes with a conventional notch that beholds the selfie shooter and the speaker grille. The Realme 3 Pro further achieves a screen-to-body-ratio of 90.8%. The display is enclosed in a polycarbonate body featuring the gradient color finishing as seen on the Realme 3. The display on the Realme 3 Pro comes with a 2.5D curved glass, further protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Under the hood, the Realme 3 Pro packs in a much powerful processor than the competition – the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Unlike the Note 7 Pro, which packed in a Snapdragon 675 SoC, the Realme 3 Pro is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with Adreno 616 GPU. And, on the storage front, the Realme 3 Pro is offered in three different storage fronts that include – 4/GB of RAM with 64GB of onboard storage and a larger 6GB RAM and 128GB of built-in storage variant as well. The storage can further be expanded by microSD for up to 256GB.
As for the optics, the Realme 3 Pro features dual rear cameras comprising of a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and secondary 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera sensor features a Sony IMX519 sensor. Since this a rival to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the Realme 3 Pro features a new Ultra HD mode that can capture photos of the 64MP resolution, a step taken by the company to go against the Redmi Note 7 Pro’s 48MP resolution. On the front, the Realme 3 Pro features a 25MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0. The front camera further features several modes that include Advanced SelfiePro algorithm, AI beautification, and Group selfie modes.
The Realme 3 Pro further ships with Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie-based Color OS 6.0 out-of-the-box. And, the Realme 3 Pro is kept alive by a decent 4045mAh battery that supports Super VOOC 3.0 5V/4A fast charging and comes with the 20W adapter in the box. For authentication, the Realme 3 Pro comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well. On the connectivity front, the Realme 3 Pro features the standard 3.5mm headphone jack, micro-USB port and it comes with OTG support. The Realme 3 Pro is said to be Dust and Splash Proof as well, however, there isn’t any official IP rating.
As stated earlier, the Realme 3 Pro will be available in three different storage variants and the device will also be featuring in three color variants that include – Carbon Gray, Nitro Blue, Lightning Purple. As for the pricing, the Realme 3 Pro 4GB+64GB variant is priced at Rs 13,999, and the larger 6GB+128GB variant of the Realme 3 Pro costs Rs 16,999. All the Realme 3 Pro variants are sold as Flipkart exclusives and the first sale will be on 29th April. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more such interesting updates.
