Realme brand has evolved into the Indian market substantially with a spree of smartphones released last year. Realme this year has come with yet another smartphone that happens to be the successor to the earlier released Realme 2 smartphone – the Realme 3.
Realme had launched this new smartphone starting at Rs 8,999, which is impressive since it hosts a ton of new features and hardware changes. These changes include the new gradient finish build instead of the conventional diamond cut design, Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie and a new dewdrop design display as well. The Realme 3 features a 6.2-inch HD+ dewdrop display and a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC powers the phone along with Mali-G72 GPU. The base variant which is priced at Rs 8,999 comes with 3GB+32GB of storage, and the larger 4GB+64GB comes at Rs 10,999.
As stated, the Realme 3 ships with Android Pie out-of-the-box and the company’s ColorOS 6.0 running on top of it. The ColorOS 6.0 has finally brought an app drawer on the home screen, which wasn’t there in the earlier ColorOS versions. Likewise, there are several new features in the ColorOS 6.0, and here some of the top features that Realme 3 has to offer.
Earlier, smartphone gaming was only applicable to high-end premium or flagship smartphones. However, with increasing demand in mobile gaming and several budget constraints, smartphone manufacturers are bringing the seamless gaming experience to budget & mid-range segment phones as well. This is achieved with a decent amount of hardware combined with gaming optimization modes through the operating system. Game Space feature on the Realme 3 smartphone allows you to have more immersive game sessions by tweaking the hardware during the gameplay.
With Game Space, Realme 3 users get a Balanced mode wherein users can experience smoother gameplay and can also restrict network access of the apps running in the background to have more immersive gameplay. Further, this mode has access to deep optimization of the data network k to reduce the latency during gameplay. Nightscape & Chroma Boost
The Realme 3 comes equipped with dual 13MP+2MP cameras with f/1.8 aperture. These rear cameras support AI Scene recognition and also come with two different modes that include – Nightscape and Chroma Boost. While the Nightscape allows you to capture brighter photos in the night – the Chroma Boost allows you to have more vivid color capture during day-light conditions. In addition, the front camera on the Realme 3 is a 13MP sensor that also comes with AI-beautification mode as well.
Navigation Keys & Gestures
The Realme 3 comes with standard navigation keys; however Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.0 allows you to customize and tweak them. For instance, you can eliminate the need of recent tasks navigation key and entirely rely on gestures. As for the Gestures, the Realme 3 offers tons of customizations wherein users can set home, back and recent tasks gestures as per their personal preferences. These customization settings on the Realme 3 are hidden under Convenience aid settings wherein you can opt to virtual navigation buttons or swipe-up gestures.
The Realme 3 supports app multitasking called with App Split Screen feature. While in the app users can swipe up with three fingers at once to enter into the respective split screen mode and can perform the multitasking by adding apps. Users can utilize to perform multitasking by swiping up with three fingers. Apart from three-finger swipe up, users can also enable split screen mode by long pressing the multi-task button or can select the required app in the recent tasks menu as well.
As the name suggests, Realme 3 allows you to run two set of apps simultaneously with different accounts. For instance, users can have two Facebook, Messenger or WhatsApp accounts running simultaneously. However, bear in mind that data transfer amongst the two same apps isn’t possible and not all apps support this feature and also you cannot have more than two clone apps running simultaneously.
