Earlier this year, Realme announced to update all its smartphones to the latest Android 9.0 Pie. Just last week, the company rolled out the ColorOS 6 beta update to the Realme 2 and Realme C1 smartphones. Today, the company announced the Android 9.0 Pie-based ColorOS 6 stable update for the Realme 1 and Realme U1 smartphones. The latest And update will be available starting today and might take a day or two to cover all the devices.

If there is no notification about the new OTA update, the users can also go to the software updates section in the settings menu to manually check the new ColorOS 6 update. While the Realme 1 was launched with Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.0 out of the box, the Realme U1 came with ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The build numbers of the latest update for Realme 1 and Realme U1 smartphones are CPH1859EX_11_A.37 and RMX1833EX_11_A.09 respectively.

Talking about the new features of the ColorOS 6, the devices will now get the app drawer.  However, the biggest feature according to us is the NightScape mode in the camera app for capturing better photos in low light conditions. It now comes with riding mode along with new navigation gestures. The devices will also include a few new apps including Theme store, Game Center, and Realme Community. With the new update, the company also added notification icons in the status bar.

The notifications panel now comes with a completely refreshed UI. The latest beta update also brings the May Android security patch update. As of now, the company didn’t yet add the latest firmware files on the support page. Once the new files are added, the users can manually flash their devices to experience the latest Color OS 6.
