EMUI 9.1 Update Timeline for Huawei and Honor Smartphones Revealed

Huawei recently launched three new smartphones under the new Nova 5 series smartphones in China. The Huawei Nova 5i, Nova 5, and Nova 5 Pro comes with EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The company already announced a list of smartphones to receive the EMUI 9.1 update. Today, Huawei revealed the timeline for the latest update for a few of its smartphones. Recently, the company also announced the 14 smartphones which are guaranteed to receive the Android Q update by the end of this year or in early 2020.

As per the report, the Huawei Mate 20 series will be receiving the EMUI 9.1 update later this week. While most of the devices launched in 2018 and 2019 are mentioned to get the latest update in July. The two generations old flagship smartphone will be updated to EMUI 9.1 in the month of August. However, there is not even a single Honor smartphone on the list. We expect Honor to come with a separate list for its smartphones.

Since not all the devices will be receiving the OTA update at the same time, there will be some delay due to incremental updates. As the news comes from China, the OTA update might also be limited just for the Chinese units. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
