Well, Realme has confirmed Android 9 Pie to its Realme 1 and Realme 2 smartphones and it will be happening soon. The company recently announced about its plan of releasing ColourOS 5.2 for Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro and Realme C1 smartphones and now it confirmed the update will be rolled out to Realme 2 by the end of December. The company has not specified any time frame on for the updates as of now and that should happen early next year.
Recently we have seen Realme device getting a hike on the pricing as the Realme C1 which was retailing at Rs. 6,999 in India is now priced at Rs. 7,999. Furthermore, there is no news about the changelogs which will accompany with the Android 9 Pie update on these devices which should be known only at the time of the rollout. The Realme users need to wait for a few more weeks before the update starts hitting their handsets officially.
Although there is no confirmation about the Android 9 Pie update to the Realme 2 Pro since Realme 2 is confirmed to get the update we can be assured to see the Android 9 Pie flavor on the 2 Pro also. Looks like, the update will first hit the Realme 1 smartphone as the company confirmed the update and then it will be followed by Realme 2 gradually. The ColourOS v5.2 will start rolling to the smartphones soon and we can expect plenty of tweaks and also security patch along with it.
The Realme C1 that was launched came with 6.2-inch display powered with Snapdragon 450 Octa-core processor. There is 2GB of RAM memory and 16GB of onboard storage which can be extended further with microSD card slot. There is a 13MP main camera sensor along with a 2MP secondary camera on the rear and a 5MP selfie camera.
