The Pod uses a standard GSM network to talk to the app, and an SIM card will be bundled with the device, which will include 12 month’s usage with $30 annual renewal. The device touts the fully waterproof feature as you don’t need to remove the Pod once it is installed on the collar of your pet.

The App is designed such that it is easy to use, giving you the enjoyable user experience that parents and kids love to use. The features of the app include real-time location, custom safe zones, as well as perimeter alerts controls, are done via the companion app. The pet owners would be able to monitor fitness levels of your pet including how much they rest, walk and run over the day. Later, you can also compare the stats of your pet with the other pets around the world on the Pet league tables.

Pod tracker is available at an early birds pledge of $149, which includes one Pod Live unit, two interchangeable batteries, one charging dock and two straps. Company claims that the device will be shipping in December this year, once the Indiegogo campaign of the company got funded.
