Garmin Forerunner 920XT

Garmin has been known for its GPS trackers as most of their products are whether a tracking or a dedicated monitoring device, but with little less of extendibility. But it is not the case with this newly announced wearable tech, as to its abilities you can pair this device with a heart rate monitor, resulting in an accurate piece of product that can also determine BPM of your heart. It will be able to show your cadence, vertical oscillation, and ground contact time.

The device features VO2 max, recovery time, as well as a race indicator too. While it has all the dedicated fitness features to monitor and analyze your health. The wearable device also acts like a Smartwatch, as it allows you to connect it to your smartphone, which in order provides a way to receive notifications, alerts, reminders, as well as other set of basic smartwatch functions.

It has the different set of use case scenarios varying from your activities like if you are a swimmer, the watch can easily monitor your speed, stroke type, stroke count pace, and the distance you swam. And if you are riding on the bike, it can show you precise ascent, descent, and gradient data with the help of a built-in altimeter and other sensors.

Moreover, the device touts an UltraTrac mode, which allows it to boost the 24 hour battery backup in GPS mode up to 40 hours, making it quite a good wearable device with such complex features lasting for around 2 days without a charge.

On the comparison note, the device doesn’t have any specific contender, as currently there is no product that offers this much of complex features in a single watch. While the Garmin Forerunner would have the advantage considering no other organization yet offers such product in the wearables space. Though, the device still cost a hefty amount, if one is to buy this product, as they would have to shell out $499.99 for this multi-function Garmin Watch.
