POCO F2 with Snapdragon 855 SoC & Android Q Spotted Online

Last week, the POCO F1 Lite smartphone got listed on Geekbench revealing key details. Now, the POCO F2 was spotted on the same benchmarking website. As expected, it will come powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. It is the successor to the POCO F1 which was launched in December 2018. The POCO F1 powered by the 10nm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform was launched at just Rs 20,999.

Now, the upcoming POCO F2 could also be launched as the cheap Snapdragon 855 smartphone. The base variant of the POCO F2 with just 4GB of RAM has scored 1776 on single-core and 6097 on multi-core tests. However, we don’t think the company will be able to launch the Snapdragon 855 powered smartphone in the first half of this year. As of now, no other Snapdragon 855 powered smartphone apart from the Galaxy S10 series is on sale in India.

From the listing, we can also spot the POCO F2 running on the latest Android Q which was recently for the Pixel devices. While there is no official confirmation, we can only expect the POCO F2 launch to happen only in Q4 2019. Unlike the other flagship devices, the POCO will be compromising on other aspects of the device to sell at a cheaper price. With the POCO F1, we have seen the company launching it with an LCD display.

Even several users also reported the screen bleeding issue on this device. It could also be the only Snapdragon 845 powered smartphone to come with a plastic body. We expect the company to launch the recently leaked POCO F1 Lite in the first half of this year. It will come powered the last-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform. Since there is no confirmation from the company, take these details with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
