Pebble has finally launched its first round-faced smartwatch, aptly named as Pebble Time Round. Technically it is the round variant of the Pebble Time watch, which was introduced. Sporting the same e-paper display of the Pebble Time and Pebble Time Steel, the wearable promises good battery life.
The Pebble Time Round has just 7.5mm thickness, which makes it sleeker than the previous generation of Pebble smartwatches. The watch supports two band sizes; 14mm and 20mm come in Black and Silver. While the trend of Rose Gold has picked up pace with iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus launched first time in Rose Gold variant, Pebble thought why not introduced a rose gold variant to match it up with new Apple devices. So, as a result, you get a Rose Gold 14mm model of the new Time Round watch.
The company is currently working on taking pre-orders of their new smartwatch, which would soon go live on their website. It would be available in stores such as Best Buy, Amazon and Target for $249. That’s quite interesting price for a smartwatch that comes with sleek, attractive looks. Moreover, the company claims that their new Time Round watch is capable of charging up from zero to full within just 15 minutes. It will be shipping to customers sometime in November.
In an unusual way, the company is raining some love for their Kickstarter backers of the Pebble Time Steel watch. If you’ve backed the Time Steel, then you can redeem a discount and get the new Time Round under a trial period. The discount would be of $50 when the wearable ships in November. The trial period would last for 30 days alongside the Time Steel model. The conditions are simple, if you like the watch you’ll be charged at discounted price otherwise your order would be refunded completely.
