Doogee has been launching one device after the other to establish their name in the Chinese market. Now they are ready for the launch of an entry-level device called Doogee X5 that is one of the most affordable budget smartphones priced at mere $49.99 (approx Rs.3,300) and as the company tagged this device, it worth every penny what you spent.

It comes powered by MediaTek MTK6580 quad-core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and coupled with Mali-400 GPU and 1GB RAM. The device comes with 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card support for storage expansion upto 32GB. The Doogee X5 is the first smartphone in the world to use an MT6580 chipset.
Coming to the camera, it sports a 5MP rear camera with flash and a 2MP front camera for selfie-shooting and video calling. It has dual sim dual standby functionality and connectivity includes 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port. Doogee X5 also includes some exciting features like OTG support, Smart Gestures, Double Tap Wake-Up, Xender 2.0 for easier sharing.
It comes powered by 2200mAh lithium removable battery that can offer upto 2-3 days on standby. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box based on new customized UI. The dimensions of the smartphone measure 143×72.2×8.8mm and weighs around 130 grams. The Doogee X5 has a stunning design and will be available in two colors Black and White.
With such a low price and decent specs, Doogee X5 is sure to give tough competition for the likes of Redmi 2 and Honor series smartphones in that price range. The company also launched a 4G version of Doogee X5 called X5 Pro with almost same design and specs apart from the processor, RAM, and storage. Instead of the MTK6580 processor, the X5 Pro comes with an MT6735 processor clocked at 1GHz and supports 4G LTE.
The RAM and internal storage are doubled up on X5 Pro to 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. While the X5 costs only $49.99, the company hasn’t mentioned the price of the X5 Pro. Recently Lenovo launched its cheapest ever 4G LTE smartphone ‘Lenovo A2010‘ in India for Rs.4,990 while a couple of other Chinese smartphones, Phicomm Energy 653 and ZTE Blade Qlux 4G launched at almost same price.
Earlier DooGee announced their latest smartphone ‘DooGee F3‘ last month and started taking pre-orders starting from this month for a price of $140. As per the company, the pre-ordered devices will be shipped starting from August 28. At $140 this device comes with some good mid-range specs like MediaTek MT6753 processor, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and 2GB RAM.
