Back in June, Honor introduced the all-new GPU Turbo technology in China. The Kirin 970-powered Honor Play is the first smartphone to come with this new feature. While the company is rolling out the GPU Turbo technology to other Honor & Huawei smartphones, it already started working the second-gen GPU Turbo technology. The GPU Turbo 2.0 will be available with the Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.0.
Today, OPPO also announced to introduce GPU Turbo-like feature called Hyper Boost. As of now, there is no other information available about the Hyper Boost except its name. The company will officially unveil this new feature at an event scheduled for October 11th in Shanghai, China. Just like Honor’s GPU Turbo, the OPPO’s Hyper Boost should also improve the graphics processing while playing gaming.
The Hyper Boost technology will be integrated within the OPPO’s highly customized ColorOS. We aren’t sure whether this new feature will be available to ColorOS-powered devices or not. If yes, then the Realme smartphones running on ColorOS should also get the Hyper Boost feature. We need to wait for a few more days to know the complete details of the new Hyper Boost acceleration feature from OPPO.
