OPPO Launches F3 Plus Selfie Smartphone with 6GB RAM in India for Rs. 22,990

Earlier this month, OPPO launched the all-new OPPO F5 in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. While the 4GB RAM variant costs Rs. 19,990, the F5 with 6GB RAM is priced at Rs. 24,990 Now, the company launched the 6GB RAM variant of the OPPO F3 Plus in India. The device is exclusively sold online via Flipkart for Rs. 22,990 and will go on sale starting November 16th. Apart from the bump in RAM, there are no other changes made to the OPPO F3 Plus 6GB RAM variant.

With the 18:9 display and AI-powered selfie camera, the OPPO F5 is better a device than the F3 Plus. The OPPO F3 Plus comes with a 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) In-cell display with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the top. While the OPPO F5 came with a MediaTek MT6763T oct-core processor, the F3 Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor. It comes coupled with Adreno 510 GPU and 6GB RAM.

Both the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants offer 64GB of onboard storage that can be expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card slot. There is a 16MP camera on the rear with f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, and dual-tone LED Flash. On the front is a dual camera setup featuring 16MP sensor with 76.4-degree wide-angle lens and an 8MP sensor with 120-degree wide-angle lens. The physical home button on the front also comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor.

However, it still runs on years-old Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with ColorOS 3.0 laid on top. It is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery that also supports in-house VOOC fast charging technology. With the VOOC flash charge, the device can give 2 hours of talk time with just 5 minutes of charging. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 163.63 × 80.8 × 7.35 mm and weighs 185 grams.
