Oppo F1s is launched, and this will be the successor to the Oppo F1 that was released earlier this year followed by Oppo F1 Plus. After the success of the F1, Oppo has decided to add a fingerprint sensor on this device to enhance the security levels, and it encrypted on the physical home button.
The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 Octa-core processor with clocking speeds of 1.51 GHz coupled with 3 GB of RAM and Malli-T860 GPU. This 5.5-inch device comes with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels giving a pixel density of 320 PPI. The device comes out of the box with Android 5.1 Lollipop based on the company’s own ColorOS v3.0.

Oppo F1s comes with a built-in application called as the Security Center that will be enhancing the performance of the device by clearing up the virus and other unnecessary junk files. Once you open this application, you can find the options like
Security center: Clear up & accelerate APK, Memory clean up, Cached files, uninstall residuals and Advertising junk
Privacy permission: App encryption, App permission, Startup manager, Floating window management and Privacy protection.
After all the scans are made, the application displays message as Virus scan is completed and the phone is in good condition.
Quite time will keep all the notifications quit unless they are important as picked by the user. This is like the do not disturb mode that we see in most of the other handsets. This can be manually selected for certain applications or can be automated from the settings of the device.
Eye protection display is a feature that you can find on new devices from Oppo. This feature filters out the blue light from the display and creates soothing screen while you view the screen for a long time. After turning on the Eye protection display, you have the option of low medium and high, that has to be selected accordingly.
App encryption lets the user encrypt an application that will only open with the registered fingerprint. This ensures that the application is safe even when the device is in others hands.
File safe is a feature on this device that lets the user lock the file and get the access to it only through the fingerprint. This lets the user keep the file secured with a fingerprint lock so that only they can open it. There is an option of entering password also instead of a fingerprint sensor to secure these file. To activate this, go to the settings of the device and select File safe > Fingerprint and password> directly enter an encrypted file locker with a fingerprint.
There is a 13 MP camera on the front with a 4160 x 3120 resolution and it is accompanied with a 16 MP front facing camera which is the catching feature of this handset. The front camera has the options like Time lapse, Video, Photo Beauty mode and Panorama along with various filters, GIF, Double Exposure and normal modes.
O Cloud is used to sync all the data to the cloud that can be managed by the user. It is just like Google cloud storage but is provided by Oppo to this device.
One handed Mode helps the user to operate the handset with a single hand by reducing the screen size of the device, to use this, the user needs to swipe from the bottom left, or right corner towards the center and the screen size will shrink that can be easily accessed with single hand. To exit this mode, you can either tap outside this screen or the exit button.
To insert a SIM card on this device, there is a slot provided just above the power button on the right. With a help of a SIM ejector pin pull the tray out and place the SIM accordingly and push back the tray to its position. Now restart the device and the SIM will be ready to be used for making calls and other network-based operations.
Oppo F1s is a dual SIM smartphone and supports dual standby. The SIM card supported by the device is a Nano-SIM card. The device also comes with a Hybrid SIM card slot where you can either insert the SIM or insert a Micro SD card slot to expand the storage to 128 GB. `
Sharing of the data network on the device can be done using the Tethering mode on your device. To share the Data Network on Your Oppo F1s, Open the settings and tap on Other Wireless Connection. In the new window tap on Personal Hotspot and toggle the off button to enable that on your device.
There are two ways in which you can capture the screenshot on your Oppo F1Plus.
Method 1: You need to press the power button along with the volume down button to capture the screenshot on your device.
Method 2: This is the gesture method of capturing a screenshot where you need to swipe two fingers from top to bottom to capture screenshot on your device. This can only be done once the gesture method is enabled on your device.
In the both the methods the captured screenshot is saved to the gallery on your device and can be quickly accessed from the notification panel immediately after the capture.
Android Updates help in fixing the bugs on your device and help in improving the performance of your smartphone. To check for Android Updates on your device, open the Settings and tap on System Updates under the About Phone Option. In the new window, click on check for Updates, the device checks for Updates and if there no new Update then a message stating your device is Up to Date is displayed on your screen.
External Apps can be installed by enabling the Unknown Sources option on your device. To install an external app with apk, open the settings and tap on Safety and Privacy. In the new window, head over to the device administration section and toggle the button adjacent to Allow installation of applications from Unknown Sources to enable that on your device. Now you can install any app with an external apk on your device.
The quick settings in the notification panel cannot be customized on this device.
Power saving mode is used to enhance the battery life of your device during the low battery conditions. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on Battery. In the new window, toggle the off button adjacent to Low Power Mode to enable that on your device.
Acceeleration and Proximity are the sensors available on the device and helps in automating the device.
There are no LED notofication lights avaialble on the device.
The Model no of the device is A1601 as it is mention in the settings. This can vary depending upon the availability of the handset.
Screen Pinning is available on the devices with Android Lollipop on it. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on safety & privacy. In the new window, head over to the bottom of the screen and tap on Screen Pinning and further toggle the off button in the new window, to enable that on your device. Now open the recent window and tap on the pin button for the app that you want to pin on your home screen.
The device comes with basic tools, all the google related apps and few bloatwares pre-installed on your device.
There is no such option available on the device using which you can move apps from internal to external SD card on your device.

To enable the percentage indicator on your status bar adjacent to the battery icon, open the settings and tap on Notification on Status Bar. In the new window, toggle the button adjacent to battery percentage to enable that on your device. Now you can see the battery % indicator to the left side of the battery icon on the staus bar on your device.
Quite Time option is used to mute each and every application and notification on your device without any vibration or indication. This can be enabled manually, or you can set a period where it will be enabled and disabled automatically. Each and every notification gets muted except the Alarm and Countdown time. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on Quite Time. In the new window, toggle the button adjacent to enable manually to enable this on your device. If you use the Enable Automatically, then you need to enter the Start Time and End Time. The notifications for incoming calls, SMS and app notification, must be enabled in the same window if you want to get any additional notification.
To Add a Fingerprint on your Oppo F1s smartphone, open the settings and tap on fingerprint and password in the new window, you need to click on add a fingerprint and further you need to place your finger over the sensor to add fingerprint. Once the fingerprint is added, you need to add security password which may be either a pattern, pin or password. The fingerprint is successfully enabled on your device.
The screen-off gestures are used to open the application directly from the black screen when your device is locked. To enable the options on your device, open the Settings and tap on Gesture & Motion. In the new window, tap on screen-off gestures and toggle the button to enable that on your device. The screen-off gestures include a double tap on wake-up, Draw O to start Camera, Draw V to turn on the torch light. You can also add the custom screen-off gestures by tapping on Add a Screen-off gesture.
The device comes with few quick gestures, i.e., Gesture Screenshot and Single Handed Operation. To use these on your device, open the Settings and tap on Gesture and Motion. In the new window, tap on Quick gesture, now toggle the off button to enable these options on your device.
The screenshot shot can be captured just by swiping three fingers from up to down on your screen. The screenshot is captured and saved to the gallery on your device.
The device comes with four smart call options, i.e., Easy Dial, Auto-answer by motion (Both the options work when you keep your phone directly near your ear), Switch the speaker by motion and Flip to Mute. To use these options on your device, open the Settings and tap on security. In the new window, tap on Gesture & Motions and click on Smart Call. Further, toggle the button adjacent to each of the options to use them on your device.
Simple Mode is same as that of the easy mode available on the Samsung Smartphones. In this mode, the text and the icon size is enlarged, and the device comes with a limited number of options on your home screen, i.e., Photos, Favorites Contacts, Emergency calls, Phone, and Message. To use this on your device, open the setting and tap on simple mode option which is at the bottom of the screen. Simple mode is successfully activated on your device and vice-versa to disable this on your device.
