OPPO A5 with Notch Display & Dual Cameras Launched in China

A week after being spotted in leaks, the OPPO A5 smartphone is now officially launched in China. It comes in Mirror Blue and Mirror Pink color options and both the color options will be coming with the diamond cut finish on the rear. The device is priced at 1500 Yuan and will go on sale starting July 13th. Next week, the company has already confirmed to launch the OPPO Find X flagship smartphone in India. However, most of the recently launched OPPO smartphones are skipping the fingerprint sensors. It is not present on the flagship Find X and also on the budget-centric OPPO A5.
The OPPO A5 (PADM00) sports 6.2-inch IPS display with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. As seen on the previously launched OPPO A3, the new OPPO A5 also comes with a notch on the top. It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 (SDM450B) octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and includes Adreno 506 GPU. It offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be further expandable using a MicroSD card. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based Color OS 5.1 out of the box.
In terms of optics, the OPPO A5 sports dual rear cameras featuring 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 and a 2MP secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front is a single 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies. The OPPO is kept powered on by a 4,230mAh non-removable battery. It measures 156.2 × 75.6 × 8.2 mm and weighs 168 grams. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB OTG, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. As the device will be sold exclusively in China, the company is integrating its custom voice assistant.
