New Moto XT1795 gets certified by FCC, could be the Moto G5S

Every day, a ton of devices gets certified by the FCC, however, only a few of them make it to the newsroom. On the same lines, we now have a new smartphone that just got certified by the FCC. This one is from Motorola. Listed as XT1795, this smartphone appears to be the new Moto G5S. The specs that are listed here mostly points towards a mid-ranged offering which suggests that it could be the upcoming Moto G5S.
Talking about the specs of the smartphone, it looks like it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC. This listing, however, mentions that it will be powered by MSM-8937-4, which is the same chipset. The listing also says that the device will carry a 3,000mAh battery. Although it can’t be confirmed just yet, it highly looks like we will be seeing the mid-ranger Moto G5S here.
However, it is also worth noting that a mysterious Moto smartphone will model number XT1797 was also spotted a couple of weeks back. It was also certified by the FCC bearing similar specs. Hence it looks like both of these variants could be the Moto G5S since the specs are more or less similar to the Moto G5 with a slightly better battery, etc. It could be possible that these two variants that got verified could be for multiple carriers or Single SIM variant or multiple SIM variants, etc.
It is certainly going to be interesting to see what we get here. Talking about the recently launched smartphones, Motorola just announced the new Moto E4 and the Moto E4 Plus smartphones. These two new devices the successors to the existing Moto E3 and the Moto E3 Plus. They now have a metal body and come with upgraded specs.
