Already most of the supported smartphones have received the Nougat update, but Sony has been on the slower side, and after a long wait, the company has decided to push the Android Nougat 7.0 update to Xperia XA Ultra. The users of this device have to wait for the update from quite a time now and this mid-range device which was launched almost a year ago has started receiving the update. The rollout has already started to the handsets with the model number F3211 and F3212 for now, but nothing is mentioned about the other models for now.

The update will bring many bug fixes and of course the new update along with it. The firmware version comes with 36.1.A.0.179 and will also bring many security patches which are released by Google. If you are in a hurry to get the update on your handset, then you can always do it manually by following the steps below.

Steps:

Before you install the update, make sure all the date is backed up to be on the safer side
• The battery on the device should be more than 50%, or else charge it before proceeding with the installation.
• Go to the setting option from the device and then continue to Backup and reset option by going to the local backup then select Backup.
• Now go to the system updates and download the update which may take some time.
• You can now install the update after the download is completed.

By following the steps, you can install the update manually or can wait for some more time for the update to be rolled out. We are not sure if this is a major update and we would like to hear more from you about the upgrade. Do comment in the section below and stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more details and updates.
