New Huawei P20 Lite 2019 Renders Leak; Comes with a Punch-hole Display & Quad Rear Cameras

Huawei has launched its P20 series last year, including the flagship model Huawei P20 and the P20 Pro, alongside the trimmed down version the Huawei P20 Lite as well. While the former had top-of-the-line specifications including the triple cameras, the Huawei P20 Lite came with a mediocre spec with dual cameras. Nevertheless, a new report showcases a new Huawei P20 Lite smartphone with a new design that is supposedly slated to launch this year by the company.

According to WinFuture, Huawei is said to be bringing a new Huawei P20 Lite 2019 smartphone that features a new design and also with bumped up specifications as well. The report had further given us the first look of the official renders of the 2019 Huawei P20 Lite smartphone. As for the new design is concerned, the new P20 Lite renders reveal a gradient finish body on the back with the quad camera setup, which is step up from dual cameras of the last year’s P20 Lite. Up front, Huawei has ditched the notch, which we have seen last year and had opted to a punch-hole display that appears to be much better and gives you a better screen real estate.

Speaking of the screen on the new Huawei P20 Lite, the device is said to be featuring the same 5.84-inch FHD+ LCD display like its predecessor (without the notch). The renders also showcase a full-screen display with a noticeable chin at the bottom. As for the specifications, the Huawei P20 Lite 2019 will be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, unlike the predecessor that featured Kirin 659 SoC. The report further indicates two onboard storage variants either 64GB or 128GB coupled with 4GB of RAM each.

As for the optics, as stated earlier the new P20 Lite is said to be quad rear cameras comprising of a 24MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, however, the information about the other sensors is yet to be known. But, going through the render images it is believed that the device would be featuring an ultra wide angle lens, a telephoto lens and the lens which isn’t aligned with these three rear cameras is said to be a ToF depth sensor. On the front, the punch-hole is said to be carrying an either 16 or 20MP selfie shooter, suggests the report.

The new Huawei P20 Lite 2019 might also be coming with a 3000mAh battery, as seen in the predecessor. As for authentication, the device features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. As for the pricing, it still unclear; however, the renders revealed showcase three color variants including – the Midnight Black, Chrush Blue, and Charming Red variants.
