New Apple Watch Series 3 Launched with Siri, LTE Support, and watchOS 4

Previously, we have seen many reports suggesting Apple Watch be the best selling smart watch in the world. At the today’s launch event, Tim Cook has mentioned the Apple Watch also to be the best selling watch in the world. It has seen a phenomenal growth after the launch of Series 2, to be accurate, it is 50% Y-o-Y growth. The company also announced the all new Apple Watch Series 3 running on WatchOS 4.

The Apple Watch Series 3 is the first smartwatch from Apple to come with LTE support. To get the LTE connectivity, the display on this smart watch will act as an Antenna and uses the integrated eSIM. This new smart watch also got that rumored red colored dot on the crown. It is powered by a new dual-core processor which 70% better performance than its predecessor. Unlike the previous Apple Watches, Siri will also speak out on this new Apple Watch Series 3.

It also packs altimeter built-in and even includes a W2 wireless chip which was first introduced with the Apple Airpods for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Even with all these new software and hardware features, the case of the Apple Watch series 3 measures same as on the series 2. The Apple Watch Series 3 will be available to pre-order starting from September 15th and will be launched in selected markets on September 22nd.

It now comes in new Gold color along with old Silver and Space Gray color options. Coming to the pricing, the LTE variant of the Apple Watch Series 3 is priced at $399, and the non-LTE variant costs $329. The company is skipping the LTE variant for the Indian market and the GPS-only variant of the Apple Watch 3 costs Rs. 29,900.
