Micromax has been very aggressive in launching the devices, last week the company has launched the battery-centric smartphones Canvas Juice 3 and Juice 3+ with 4,000mAh batteries. Today the company has launched a new smartphone in its Canvas Spark series called as ‘Canvas Spark 2.’ The device will be exclusively available through Snapdeal for Rs.3,999.

The registrations for the first sale of this new device will be starting from September 23rd which just two days away while sale will be on September 30th. This device is the successor for Canvas Spark that was launched in April 2015 for Rs.4,999. The Canvas Spark offers much better specs even with just Rs.1,000 price difference.

At such a low pricing, the Canvas Spark 2 comes with very basic specifications. It sports a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480) IPS display and comes powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with 512MB RAM. There is 4GB of internal storage while the Canvas Spark came with 8GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion upto 32GB.

The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box which is a big advantage for this device. Coming to the camera, it has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. The device supports dual SIM dual standby but lacks the 4G LTE connectivity, there are other options like Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0.

There is a 1,800mAh battery that lasts up to 324 hours on standby. It comes with a support of 10 Indian regional languages. The Canvas Spark 2 has many bloatware apps like Scandid, Kindle, Hotstar, Clean Master, Swiftkey and Snapdeal. If you are a first-time smartphone user, this is the best phone to try out and that too with a price tag of just Rs.3,999 or else there are far more better devices like Phicomm Energy 653, ZTE Blade Qlux 4G, YU Yunique, and Lenovo A2010 at slightly higher pricing. These all devices offers 4G LTE along with impressive hardware when compared to Canvas Spark 2.
