LG G Pad II 10.1-inch Tablet with Snapdragon 800 SoC & 2GB RAM Launched
LG has unveiled its new flagship tablet LG G Pad II with a 10.1-inch screen size at IFA that was held earlier this month in Berlin. Now the company has officially launched the G Pad II 10.1-inch variant in its home country. Last month the company has also launched the LG Pad II 8.0 with an 8-inch screen size in South Korea. It comes mid-range specifications like USB Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1.5GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage.
But the larger variant of the same sports all different specs, the 10.1-inch display of the tablet comes with WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution and a pixel density of 224ppi. According to the company, this tablet has the thinnest bezels among all the similar sized tablets.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.26GHz coupled with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 2TB. The company also offers additional software features like Reader Mode, Dual Window and QuickMemo+ for better user experience.
The Reader Mode reduces the blue light of the backlight and gives better e-book reading experience. With the Dual Window mode, you can use two apps simultaneously side by side. You can take notes from any screen and can be shared without opening any new app by using QuickMemo+.
The tablet also includes Microsoft Office apps and gives two years of 100GB free OneDrive storage. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based LG’s UX UI. Coming to the camera, it sports a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. The device offers connectivity features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and microUSB 2.0.
It has a battery of 7,400mAh capacity that can give a single day of mixed usage. The device measures 254.3 x 161.1 x 7.8 mm and weighs 487 grams. The tablet will be launched in two variants, one with only Wi-Fi and the other with Wi-Fi + 4G LTE.
It will be available in the color Brilliant Bronze and the pricing of the device hasn’t been announced yet. The pricing of the tablet will be starting from KRW426,000 ($362) in South Korea. LG has also confirmed that the tablet will be launched before the end of this month in the US.
