Micromax Canvas Nitro 4G with 13MP Rear Camera & 2500mAh Battery Launched for Rs.10,999

Micromax today launched a new device in its Canvas Nitro series, the ‘Canvas Nitro 4G‘ will be available all across India for Rs.10,999. It is the successor for Canvas Nitro 2 that was launched in May 2015. There are no major differences in terms of specifications between both the devices.

Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax Informatics said, “India is at the tipping point of 4G revolution and we expect the consumers to skip 3G and directly leap forward to 4G LTE connectivity. With the launch of Canvas Nitro 4G, we aim to bring a perfect combination of technology, rich features and a faster 4G experience at a great value to more and more consumers”.

The Canvas Nitro 3 sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top it. It is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 415 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, but the company during the launch announced it as an octa-core processor. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Coming to the camera, it sports a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash, and a 5MP front camera, the same set of sensors are featured on its predecessor. The battery on this device is of 2,500mAh capacity that gives 8 hours of talk time and lasts up to 273 hours on standby.

It is dual SIM device with 4G LTE support and also offers other connectivity features like Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, and microUSB 2.0. The device runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The device measures 140.5 x 69.75 x 9.3 mm and weighs 135 grams.

There are other smartphones that are priced lower than this and offers better specifications. The company also confirmed its plans to develop their own version Android for their devices and the first device running on that OS will be launched before the end of this year.
