Micromax Bharat 3 & Bharat 4 4G VoLTE Smartphones Launched with Smart Key & Android Nougat

As we exclusively covered earlier, Micromax launched the Bharat 3 & Bharat 4 smartphones in the Indian market for Rs. 4,499 and Rs. 4,999 respectively. Both the smartphones come in Black color and will be sold through offline stores. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and supports dual SIM dual standby. They also offer 4G VoLTE connectivity on any one of the two SIM’s and works with the Jio 4G SIM.

Both the smartphones come with different screen sizes but share the same design with curved edges on the rear and 2.5D glass on the front. Apart from the volume rocker and power button, there is an additional hardware button called Smart Key. It can be used for capturing quick screenshots or switching to silent mode. The smartphones also support 22 Indian regional languages on the system level.

The first smartphone to launch under this new series is the Bharat 2 VoLTE smartphone which came with a 4-inch display and is priced at Rs. 3,499. The leaks also revealed the details about Bharat 1 feature phone with 4G VoLTE support. While there is no official information about the Bharat 1, it is then expected to be launched for Rs. 999. With the entry of Jio 4G, there is a huge demand for VoLTE smartphones priced under the Rs. 5,000.

Now, the latest information from our source revealed the full specifications of two upcoming Bharat series smartphones. The Micromax Bharat 3 and Bharat 4 will be soon launched in the market for Rs. 4,499 and Rs. 4,999 respectively. Along with the Bharat 3 and Bharat 4, the company will also launch the Bharat 2 Plus as an upgraded variant to Bharat 2.Under the hood, both the devices are powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz.

While the Micromax Bharat 3 comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display, the Bharat 4 sports a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. The Bharat 3 packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage that can be further expandable up to 32GB. On the other hand, the Bharat 4 comes with the same 1GB of RAM but the internal storage doubled up to 16GB.In the camera department, the Bharat 3 and Bharat 4 features 5MP cameras on the front and rear with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash.

The Bharath 3 and Bharat 4 smartphones are backed by a 2,000mAh and 2,500mAh battery capacities respectively. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. There are dual SIM card slots along with a dedicated MicroSD card slot. The devices will soon go on sale across the country via offline retail stores.
