Meizu M6 Smartphone Launched with 5.2″ Display, MT6750 SoC & 13MP Camera

Meizu launched the new entry-level Meizu M6 smartphone as the successor to last year’s Meizu M5. Almost six months after the China launch, the Meizu M5 was made available in India in May 2017 for Rs. 10.499. Talking about the Meizu M6, it sports a polycarbonate body with the metal finish on the top. It will be available in Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Matte Black, and Electric Blue color options. Apart from the new design, there are only a few upgrades made in terms of the specification of the device.

It sports a 5.2-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and a 2.5D curved glass on the top. Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz that comes coupled with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. The Meizu M6 will be available in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants with 16GB and 32GB of internal storage respectively. There is also MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage additionally up to 128GB. The smartphone also comes with a hybrid SIM slot, where the user can insert two SIM cards or a single SIM and a MicroSD card.

In the camera department, the Meizu M6 sports a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, and quad-LED flash. For selfies, there is an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the customized Flyme OS 6.0 laid on top. It is backed by a 3,070mAh non-removable battery that also supports 5V/2A fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.

The mBack home button placed beneath the display also comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor. While the volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge, the hybrid SIM slot is on the left edge. It measures 148.2 x 72.8 x 8.3 mm and weighs 143 grams. The Meizu M6 with 2GB and 3GB of RAM are priced at 699 Yuan (approx $106 / Rs. 6,800) and 899 Yuan (approx $136 / Rs. 8,800) respectively. Both the variants will go on sale starting September 25th only in China. As of now, there is no information about the international availability of the Meizu M6.
