MediaTek has unveiled its new Helio P70 chipset which is the successor of the AI-centric P60 with a polished platform. This new chipset has promised a 10-30% boost in AI tasks and a 13% improvement in general tasks. There isn’t much change from its predecessor P60 and it is built on the same 12nm process and will run its GPU and CPU at a higher clocking speed. Check out the article below to get all the information regarding the same.
The MediaTek Helio P70 comes with four cores, at a clocking speed of 2.1GHz with, Cortex-73. Moreover, there is also a Mali-G72 MP3 Graphics processing Unit which will be clocked at 900MHz. This chipset is claimed to use up 35% less power while playing games when compared to the P60 even though there is an improvement in the performance. MediaTek has also included an Energy-Aware Scheduling+ on to this chipset, this is a thermal management solution which promises to lower the operating temperature by up to 4.5-degree centigrade.
Moreover, this chipset comes with a hardware that can boost the performance and the camera also as the Bokeh is rendered at 24fps and 3 times more improvement in the performance levels. Moreover, it comes with a hardware warping engine for low-power electronics image stabilization which is claimed to be saving 23mA per second vs. doing it on the GPU. This also has a triple ISPs that can handle a 24+16MP dual camera or one 32MP camera.
It will also support 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 1,800MHz and will use UFS 2.1 or eMMC 5.1 storage. Moreover, the chipset has a built-in modem support for two SIM’s VoLTE and Band 71 (600MHz), mainly for the US. Helio claims to provide Powerful performance, Beautiful Imaging, fluid gaming and brilliant multi-core AI with this new chipset. We are expecting many devices to come with this chipset in the feature and comment in the section below if you have more queries. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more.
