LG has launched a new budget smartphone called LG X5 (2018) in South Korea. As of now, there is no confirmation about the availability of this device in other markets. However, the device seems to be specifically made for its home country. While most budget smartphones have already adopted 18:9 aspect ratio, the new LG X5 (2018) still comes with a 16:9 display. In Korea, the new LG X5 (LM-X510K) is priced at KRW 363,000 (approx $330 / Rs 22,400) and comes only in Moroccan Blue color option.

It will be sold all the three major carriers in the country – SKT, KT, and LG U+. The device seems to offer metal body sporting rear-facing fingerprint sensor and loudspeaker. It also supports NFC to offer LG Pay for making mobile payments. It sports a 5.5-inch IPS display on the front with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor coupled withMali-T860 GPU.

It offers 2GB of RAM  and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expandable using a MicroSD card slot. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with LG UX UI laid on the top. Talking about the cameras, the LG X5 (2018) sports a 13MP camera on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front for selfies. Both the front and rear cameras come accompanied by a LED flash. It is backed by a 4,500mAh battery that should easily give more than a day-long usage.

The device also supports fast charging to quickly charge the huge battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB port. On the rear, we can also spot the circular fingerprint sensor. The device measures 154.7 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm and weighs 171 grams. While there is no information about the international availability, we don’t think the company will be bringing the LG X5 (2018) outside of Korea. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
