LG will be unveiling the LG V30 smartphone on August 31st in Berlin, Germany. While the company is teasing the launch of this device by revealing key specifications and functionalities, the device is also accidentally shown in the promo videos. The device was confirmed to feature POLED display panel with the FullVision display offering 18:9 aspect ratio. It was earlier shown in the 3D CAD renders and now, we got the leaked press renders of the device from the reliable leakster, Evan Blass. The 18:9 FullVision display with rounded corners is now protected by curved glass on the top.

While there is edge screen functionality, the LGV30 looks almost similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone from the front. The device sports a chrome finished metal frame with matte finished metal back. There is a dual camera setup along with LED flash and laser autofocus on the rear. Just below the rear camera is the circular power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor. The company bid farewell to the secondary display after experimenting it on the LG V10 and V20 smartphones. Instead, the company is adding the software feature called floating bar that comes with the same functionality as the secondary display.

Interestingly, the volume rocker is on the left edge, and SIM card slot is on the right edge. The device is rumored to come with 6-inch POLED FullVision display offering Quad HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. LG has already confirmed the rear camera on the V30 to offer f/1.6 aperture which is a first on any smartphone. It will be running on the Android based in-house LG UX 6.0+ UI out of the box. The LG V30 will also be the company’s first smartphone to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor.

It is mentioned to be backed by a 3,200mAh battery and measure just 7.4 mm thick. The device includes the 3.5mm audio jack and the USB Type-C port. While the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and LG V30 compete with each other, we expect LG with years of experience in the dual-lens camera might have some advantage in the camera department. While the Galaxy Note 8 will be launched on August 23rd, the LG V30 gets unveiled on August 31st. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details about the upcoming flagship devices.
