Earlier today, HMD Global launched the Nokia 8 flagship smartphone with 13MP dual-lens camera in London. The other major manufacturers like Samsung and LG have already confirmed to unveil their new flagship smartphones in the coming weeks. Now, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has reportedly sent out the media invites for the launch of Mate 10 smartphone on October 16th in Munich, Germany. While the launch is two months, we will be seeing more and more leaks about the device in the coming days.

As seen with the earlier launched flagship Huawei smartphones, the Mate 10 might also feature a dual-lens camera on the rear with Leica branding. The Huawei Mate 10 will be the successor to last year’s Mate 9. While the company has partnered with Porsche Design to launch special edition called Mate 9 Porsche Design. As of now, there is no information whether the company will be launching the Mate 10 Porsche Design or not. The company CEO has already confirmed the Mate 10 to come bezel-less design along with the all-new Kirin 970 processor.

While the Kirin 950 SoC debuted with the Mate 8, the Kirin 960 was first used in the Mate 9 smartphone. The upcoming Kirin 970 processor will be produced by TSMC using the 10nm FinFET process. If the leaks are to believed, the device sports a 6.1-inch two-sided bezel-less display and offers Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. While Google will be releasing the Android O by October 16th, the Mate 10 will be still running on Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI out of the box. It comes backed by a 4,000mAh battery and supports in-house SuperCharge fast charging technology.

Without much real estate on the front of the device, the fingerprint sensor might be placed on the rear of the device. Following the trend, Huawei also skips the 3.5mm audio jack on the Mate 10 smartphone. Before launching the Huawei Mate 10 smartphone, the company will launch the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus for the global audience at the IFA 2017. Both the devices are launched in China in May and are now available to purchase online. Recently, the company also launched Nova 2 Plus smartphone in Bright Silver that offers mirror finish to the device. Talking about the Mate 10 launch, take these details with a pinch of salt as there is no official confirmation from the company.
