LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE tablet with Snapdragon 615 SoC & 2GB RAM Announced in Korea

LG has unveiled a new variant of G Pad tablet called ‘LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE‘ in Korea. Earlier to this, the company had launched the LG G Pad II 10.1 and LG G Pad II 8.0 LTE tablets at the IFA 2015 held in September. Though there aren’t many major manufacturers that have launched tablets, Samsung and LG has been very active in capturing the little share of Android tablets.

The G Pad II 8.3 comes with a polycarbonate body with an included stylus. As the name suggests, it includes an 8.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display with 16:10 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It has a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot for expanding up to a maximum of 2TB.

It has an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and an LED flash, on the front, it has a 2MP camera for capturing selfies and video calls. The tablet runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with LG’s UX UI overlaid. It is backed by a 4,800mAh battery that can give a decent battery life. The tablet also includes Micro SD card slot that offers 4G LTE connectivity.

According to LG, the tablet comes with Microsoft Office suite of apps including Word, Excel, PowerPoint for the on the go editing or creating documents. The tablet also includes LG exclusive features like Q Pair 2.0, Dual Windows and Gesture shot options. Connectivity options on this tablet include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, MicroUSB 2.0 port along with 4G LTE.

The tablet measures 216.8 x 126.5 x 8.8 mm and weighs almost 366 grams. It will be available only in Brown and Gold colors options. Though the pricing of G Pad II 8.3 LTE isn’t mentioned yet, it will be available starting tomorrow through a local carrier called ‘LG U+.’
