LG X Fast with 5.5″ Quad HD Display & Snapdragon 808 SoC to Launch Soon
LG had launched few decent mid-range smartphones under the X series. Last month the company launched the LG X Screen smartphone here in India, it was first showcased at the MWC held in February 2016. It sports an always-on secondary display for showing notifications and placing shortcuts for apps. The device is priced at Rs. 12,990 and came with decent specifications compared to earlier mid-range devices from LG. Now the company will be launching the LG X Fast on August 30th in Taiwan. Actually, it is the same LG X Mach that was launched earlier in few Western markets.
The LG X Fast comes with a polycarbonate body surrounded by a metal frame. It comes with high-end specifications and will be the costliest smartphone in the X series. The device features a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display and is powered by Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor. This is the same processor that also powered the last year’s flagship LG G4. It also packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further via MicroSD card slot.
The home button and volume rocker are placed on the rear of the device which comes with a Sandstone finish. We also expect the home button to sport the fingerprint sensor, same as on LG V10. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based UX UI on top. In the camera department, there is a 12.3 MP rear camera with PDAF and LED flash and an 8MP front camera. The device can record videos at 4K resolution at 30fps. This device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE.
It is backed by a 3,000mAh user replaceable battery which is a standard feature on LG devices. The device also supports fast charging and the connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz & 5GHz, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 149.1 x 76.5 x 8.9 mm and weighs 150 grams. Stay tuned for more details!
