LeTV Confirmed to Launch Le Max & Le 1s Superphones in India on Jan 5th

Update – While we all expected the LeTV to launch its latest smartphone Le 1s in India at the scheduled event on January 5th. But at the fans meetup, the company had announced the launch of Le Max phablet which is one of the three devices that were debuted earlier this year in China. Now in a surprise, the company had also confirmed the launch of Le 1s Superphone that will share the stage along with Le Max phablet at the company launch event.

The LeTV Le Max is the premium smartphone with flagship specifications competing with others affordable flagship devices like OnePlus 2 and YU Yutopia. On the other hand, the Le 1s is one of the best mid-range smartphones that comes at with very affordable price tag. It is priced at $173 in China and comes with a fingerprint sensor and metal build that no one can even expect.

The other device that offers such a high value for money is the Redmi Note 3, but there is no information about the launch of this device in India. Apart from the device information, there are no details about the price and availability dates of LeTV products in India. Earlier: Dec 25th, 2015 – LeTV, the latest entrant to the smartphone market, had seen a tremendous growth in very less time. While every other new manufacturer is focusing on the entry-level segment by launching the low-cost smartphones, LeTV, on the other hand, came with premium devices that are only limited to China. But now the company has sent out the press invites for an event scheduled on January 5th that will be held in New Delhi, India.

The company will officially debut in the Indian smartphone market that has been the centre stage for many other Chinese brands. It is already holding city based Le MeetUps for reaching to their fanbase. Though there is no information regarding the exact device to be launched at the event, the rumors suggest the recently launched Le 1s smartphone be the first device to made available in India.

Talking about the device, it is priced around $170 price range and comes with some decent mid-range specifications. It sports all metal body and includes a fingerprint sensor on the rear of the device. It is powered by Helio X10 octa-core processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with customized LeTV’s EUI overlaid.

At the same, the company is also expected to announce the Le Max Pro powered by Snapdragon 820 deca-core processor at the CES 2016. Apart from the smartphone, the company had recently launched the 149 Yuan priced LeVR COOL1 VR HeadSet in China. Recently 360 Software’s backed QiKU had launched the QiKU Terra smartphone in India. 2015 had seen more than half a dozen Chinese brands entering the Indian market since the smartphone growth in China is declining when compared to last year.
