Lenovo Z6 to Sport 16MP Front Camera & 24MP Triple Rear Cameras

Update — Today, Lenovo has revealed the camera specifications of the upcoming Lenovo Z6 smartphone. While we are yet to get the first look of the device, the latest poster confirms the device to sport vertical triple camera setup on the top left corner. It features a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom (up to 8x hybrid zoom), and a 5MP depth sensor. There is also a dual LED flash on the rear. For selfies, the device will sport a 16MP front-facing camera. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device. It comes with a glass sandwich design with metal mid-frame.

Earlier (June 25th, 2019)— Lenovo today confirmed the upcoming Lenovo Z6 to sport 4000mAh non-removable battery. This huge battery along with the 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform should give a long lasting battery life. It is also mentioned to support 18W fast charging using the USB Type-C port. The teaser image posted on Weibo also confirms the Lenovo Z6 to last up to 395 hours on standby mode. It gives up to 38 hours of talk time of 38 hours or 26 hours of video playback or 16 hours of gameplay. It also adds that the high-density lithium battery consumes less than 3 percent electricity at night. We should be getting more details about the Lenovo Z6 in the coming days.

(June 24th, 2019)— After launching the flagship Lenovo Z6 Pro smartphone powered by Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform, the company came up with the Lenovo Z6 Lite (a.k.a Lenovo Z6 Youth) featuring Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform. Now, the company is teasing to launch the third smartphone under this series called Lenovo Z6. The latest teaser image posted on Weibo confirms the upcoming Lenovo Z6 to come powered by 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform. Recently, Xiaomi launched the Redmi K20 in China with the same chipset.

(June 5th, 2019) — Exactly a year ago, Lenovo launched the Lenovo Z5 smartphone powered by Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform in China. Today, the company teased to soon launch the Lenovo Z6 as the successor to Lenovo Z5. Lenovo has already launched the Snapdragon 855-powered Lenovo Z6 Pro and Snapdragon 710-powered Lenovo Z6 Lite (a.k.a Lenovo Z6 Youth) smartphones. While the company hasn’t revealed any specifications, it showcased the device in Blue and Brown colors with gradient finish.

We need to wait for few more days to get the exact launch date of the device. Just like its earlier launched smartphones, the availability of the upcoming Lenovo Z6 will also be limited to the Chinese market. The recently launched Lenovo Z6 Lite came with a 6.3-inch waterdrop notch display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 93.06% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, it came powered by the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 360 CPU and Adreno 616 GPU.

In terms of optics, the Lenovo Z6 Lite sports triple rear cameras featuring 16MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it sports a 16MP camera for selfies. The device is backed by a 4,050mAh non-removable battery and supports 15W fast charging. For better location tracking, it also came equipped with a GNSS chipset to offer up to 1m precision tracking. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based ZUI 11 out of the box.

The Lenovo Z6 Lite also supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM card slot. It came with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and also supports face unlock. The device also supports Doly Atmos technology for the surround sound experience. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. In China, the Lenovo Z6 Lite with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage is priced as low as CNY 1199 (approx USD 175 / INR 12,000).
