Officially Launched
Lenovo K9 with HD+ 18:9 Display & Quad Cameras Launched for Rs 8,999

Lenovo today launched a new smartphone in the popular K-series called as Lenovo K9. While the other Chinese brands are launching their smartphones with aggressive price tags in India, we haven’t seen any stunning products from Lenovo. With the new Lenovo K9, the company seems to make its presence felt in the budget segment. The device sports glossy finish body with 2.5D curved glass on the front.
On the front is the 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The Lenovo K9 is powered by the 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) octa-core processor coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. This is the same chipset that also powers the Xiaomi Redmi 6 smartphone. The device comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and offers close to stock Android UI.
Talking about the cameras, the Lenovo K9 sports 13MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the front and rear. At Rs 8,999, the Lenovo K9 is the most affordable smartphone to offer quad cameras. With the secondary camera, the device will be able to capture better portrait shots with both the front and rear cameras. The company also added an LED flash to the front and rear cameras to capture photos even in low light conditions.
It supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM card slot. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and supports 5V/2A (10W) power input. Unlike other Chinese brands, Lenovo is offering the USB Type-C port even on a low-cost smartphone. Other connectivity options include 4G voLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. The device will be available in Blue and Black color options.
The Lenovo K9 with 3GB RAM will be retailing for just Rs 8,999 in India. The device will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting next week. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
