Lenovo has geared up to launch its first in-display front facing camera phone – the Lenovo Z5s on 18th of this month. While the company has started teasing its release on the Chinese websites already, the Vice President of Lenovo, Routine has recently confirmed that the upcoming Z5s is slated to feature Qualcomm’s yet to be released Snapdragon 678 SoC.
The Lenovo Z5s would be featuring a triple camera set up on the rear that will additionally feature AI recognition capabilities. The teasers from the Vice President of the company has also revealed that the Lenovo Z5s would ship with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. Apart from these confirmed specs and the release date, the additional details of the smartphone are yet to be known.
However, there’s an exciting new leak confirming a new Ferrari Superfast Edition of the Lenovo Z5s. And, it is expected to come with high-end Snapdragon 845 processor and a whopping 12GB of RAM. If the leak is believed to be true then the Lenovo Z5s Ferrari edition would be the world’s first smartphone to feature 12GB of RAM beating the recently released OnePlus 6T McLaren edition that featured 10GB of RAM.
According to the leaked image from Slashleaks, it showcased a Lenovo device bearing a model number of – Lenovo L78071 running on Snapdragon 845 SoC. The image further reveals the phones built-in storage of 128GB alongside the massive 12GB of RAM. It additionally reveals the Lenovo Z5s Ferrari Superfast naming that is running on ZUI 10.5.135 OS.
The collaboration of brands with car companies has become the trend of this year, for instance, OPPO has collaborated with Lamborgini, Huawei has partnered with Porsche, and recently OnePlus had partnered with McLaren to launch their special edition smartphones.
