Today Coolpad and LeEco launched their new smartphone Cool1 Dual in India. It is the first smartphone from both these brands to feature dual rear cameras. Apart from Cool1, LeEco will be launching another smartphone with dual camera setup. The LeEco Le 2S will be officially launched in the first week of September in China. The Le 2S will be launched as the successor to Le 1S and Le 1S Eco. Both the Le 1S and Le 1S are the same devices, but Le 1S Eco launched in India came with LeEco Supertainment pack including live TV, video, music and cloud storage.

Recently Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi launched smartphones with dual rear cameras. The upcoming Le 2S with the model number Le X720 is now spotted in the listing of China Compulsory Certification (3C). It comes with EQ-24BCN that supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 and gives a power output of 24W. Under the hood, the device might come powered by upgraded Snapdragon 821 quad-core SoC. But unlike the earlier rumors suggested, the device will not come with 8GB of RAM instead it includes only 4GB of RAM. It will be available in different storage variants and there won’t be a MicroSD card slot.

On the back of the device, there will be dual camera setup with 16MP resolution. For selfies, the Le 2S sports an 8MP front camera. The fingerprint sensor  will be placed just below the rear camera module. While the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are said to miss the 3.5mm audio port, the LeEco already implemented this with the launch of Le 2 and Le Max 2 smartphones. Instead of 3.5mm audio port, the company introduced the CDLA technology works with the USB Type-C port. The upcoming Le 2S also come features USB Type-C port and supports CDLA technology.

While the leaked iPhone 7 hints at a new type of antenna band design, the Le 2S might also include similarly designed curved antenna bands on the top and bottom edges. From the front, the Le 2S looks similar to earlier launched devices but instead of the home button the device might sport backlight LeEco (LE) logo. Antutu had earlier leaked the specifications of Le X720 and it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Coming to the benchmark scores of Le 2S, it had scored 154272 as seen on the images posted by Antutu.
