Last month, LeEco had launched the Le 2, Le 2 Pro, and Le Max 2 Superphones in China. While these devices are expected to launch in India, the company relaunched the Le 1S as Le 1S Eco, which comes with one year of Supertainment subscription worth Rs. 4,900 for free. Among all the three new devices, only the Le Max 2 comes with Snapdragon chipset while the other two devices include MediaTek deca-core chipsets.
The Le 2 is powered by MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor while the Le 2 Pro comes with enhanced Helio X25 processor. Now a new variant of Le 2 with the model number X526 is leaked online. Unlike the already launched Le 2, this new variant is powered by Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. Apart from the change in processor, the rest of the specifications are expected to remain same. The same device was spotted on Antutu a couple of months ago.
It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the camera side, there is a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture, and an 8MP front camera for selfies. The device is kept powered on by a 3,000mAh battery which might also support Qualcomm’s Quick Charging. It has a fingerprint sensor and misses the 3.5mm audio port.
The USB Type-C port can be used for both charging the device and also for connecting earphones with USB Type-C. LeEco also including a USB Type-C earphones with new CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) technology within the package. It sports an all metal body and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with EUI 5.5 laid on top. It is also rumored to be priced at 1099 Yuan, same as Helio X20 powered Le 2.
