LeEco (Letv) debuted Indian market with Le Max and Le 1S SuperPhones

As announced earlier, LeEco (formally LeTV) has officially entered the Indian market by launching the LeEco Superphones Le 1s and Le Max at an event held in New Delhi, India. While many other manufacturers are focusing on the entry-level segment, LeEco is more focused on capturing the market share of premium devices. In April 2015, the company had officially announced their plans to venture into the smartphone business by launching the LeTV Le One, Le One Pro, and Le Max.
India is the first international market for LeEco and will be one of the key factors for their growth in the future. LeEco is also the fastest smartphone manufacturer to sell the first one million handsets. LeEco has partnered with Yupp TV and Eros international for content and all the phones will come with one year of free subscription for Eros Now. All the smartphones from LeTV came with USB Type-C port and it is the first manufacturer to include a USB Type-C port on a smartphone.
Talking about the devices that are launched today, LeEco Le 1s is the mid-range device that was also recently launched in China while the Le Max is the flagship device that was launched way back in April 2015 in China. At the CES 2016, the company has unveiled the successor for Le Max called Le Max Pro powered by Snapdragon 820 processor.
Le 1s features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display with Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz along with 3GB of RAM. There is no MicroSD card slot but will be launched in two variants with 32GB and 64GB internal storages.
It has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and PDAF for faster focusing and 5MP selfie camera on the front. The device is built into a metal body and is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. There is also a fingerprint sensor placed just below the rear camera.
The Le Max is the company’s largest smartphone with a 6.3-inch display and at the ongoing CES 2016, it is expected to unveil its successor Le Max Pro powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC. The 6.3-inch display comes with Quad HD resolution and is powered by the Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor. It has 4GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of internal storage.
It has a 21MP rear camera with OIS that can record videos in 4K resolution. On the front, the 4MP ultra pixel that can even capture better selfies in the low light conditions. The device is backed by a 3,400mAh battery that can last for more than a day on single charge.
Both the devices run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with customized EUI 5.5 overlaid. They also feature dual SIM slots that can offer 4G LTE connectivity. The Le Max 32 GB variant (Silver) is priced at Rs 32999 while the 128 GB variant (Gold) is priced at Rs 36,999 and the Le 1S is 32 GB variant is priced at Rs 10,999 and will be exclusively available on Flipkart Store. Note that Le Max is also available in Sapphire edition with 128 GB, priced at Rs 69,999. It’s a premium variant for consumers willing to spend high amounts for the build and color.
