Samsung unveiled the ‘Galaxy Fold’ smartphone along with the flagship Galaxy S10 series in February 2019. Till date, we have never seen any hands-on videos of the device. Even at the MWC 2019, the company showcased its foldable smartphone inside a glass box. The company already announced to release the Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone on April 26th. It is even confirmed to be made available in India as well.
Now, we have finally got at least a leaked hands-on video of the Galaxy Fold smartphone. The device in the leaked video looks and functions the same as how it was showcased during the launch event. However, a permanent crease can be spotted in the middle of the display where it folds. This might be the reason, the company has never given anyone a chance to touch the device. Also, the device in the video could have been a test unit where much more intensive testing is done.
While the company claims that it might happen only after flexing the display for more than 2,00,000 times, the Bloomberg report suggests it might happen after 10,000 times of folding and unfolding the display. At least the leaked video shows one of the cons of the foldable smartphones which the company been hiding from the beginning. While the Galaxy Fold will be hitting the markets next month, we hope the company addresses the issue before the shipping the devices.
